NewBees at Work: Succesvolle match bij BIND

NewBees matcht vrijwilligers aan BIND. Dit is een waanzinnig en innovatief project van Hembrugterrein in Zaandam die een oud gebouw dat niet langer meer wordt gebruikt, transformeert in een hotspot voor creatieve en ondernemende activiteiten. Het project wil een ruimte creëren voor creativiteit op deze nieuwe locatie, waar jonge ondernemers en artiesten elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en samen kunnen werken. Deze inspirerende locatie zal ook optredens, lezingen en bijeenkomsten organiseren voor de gemeenschap.

Onze newbie Almontaser werkt voor Stichting BIND sinds november. Hij spendeert elk weekend aan dit nieuwe project. "Ik vind het heel erg leuk", zegt hij. "We werken samen met vriendelijke mensen. Het is erg bemoedigend." Almontaser (21) komt uit Syrië en woont in Nederland sinds anderhalf jaar. In Syrië werkte hij in een fabriek waar ze plastic tapijten maakten en hij is heel handig. Daarom hebben wij hem gematcht aan BIND: "Almontaser is geweldig! Hij weet wat hij doet en hij werkt heel hard. Hij past fantastisch in het team!", zegt Judith Pelgrom, initiatiefnemer van BIND.

NewBees matches volunteers to BIND. This lovely and very innovative project at the Hembrugterrein in Zaandam is transforming an old building that is no longer used into a hotspot of creative and entrepreneurial activities. The project aims to provide space for creativity at the new location, where young entrepreneurs and artists will be able to meet and work together. The inspiring location will also host performances, lectures and get-togethers for the neighborhood.

Our newbee Almontaser has been working for Stichting BIND since November. He spends his weekends at the novel project. “I like it very much”, he says. “We all work together with friendly people. It encourages me.” Almontaser (21) is from Syria and he has been in the Netherlands for a year and a half. In Syria he used to work in a factory which made plastic rugs and he is a true handy man, which is why we matched him to BIND: “Almontaser is great! He knows what he is doing and works very hard. He is a great addition to the team!”, says Judith Pelgrom, initiator of BIND.
