NewBees in ANTICIPATION of the new integration law

In the Integration 2021 law, the role of municipalities will increase, with more and earlier efforts being made on language, participation and relief. Municipalities are currently preparing to implement the new law at local level.

The new law will focus more and earlier in the integration process on LANGUAGE , PARTICIPATION and RELIEF .

Municipalities will be in charge of the integration and will make a personal integration plan (PIP) for all status holders in their municipality. Based on this, integration is organized via THREE ROUTES:

  • The regular route, within which the language requirement goes from A2 to B1;

  • The educational route, aimed at people who can eventually enter the regular Dutch education system;

  • The Z-route, for people who benefit more from practical education in language, culture and work than classroom education.

The coming period will become increasingly clear about what the CONTOURS of the new law will look like. Until then, we will keep you informed of current events via this website.

Via the links below, you will find relevant information (in Dutch!) about the law, such as the letters that the minister sent to the parliament about this.

What will this all COST?
